Hi,
Everyone told me that when I hit 30, metabolism slows down, and it is much harder to keep in shape. I made an astonishing discovery- my parents lied to me about my date of birth. That moment came to me right around when I hit 31. I used to pick up weight quickly, but drop it even faster. A few weeks at the gym was enough to get me in a good shape and mood.
Lordy, lordy, lordy. My diet or lifestyle has not changed, but my clothing shrunk. So I am dove into a fitness/diet regime. Mommy. I have never been exposed to so much pseudoscience until now- and what is worse, I have no good way of differentiating science from pseudoscience.
Diet pills. Fiber pills. Diet drinks. Energy pills. I think there are hundreds, if not thousands of pharmaceutical products. Although I am lazy, I am not going that route.
Diet. Atkins. South Beach. Weight Watchers. Jenny Craig. Hundreds of eat this! Dont eat that! Eat like cavepeople! Eat by your blood type! Cabbage!
Exercise. That one seemed like a good refuge, because it seems pretty basic. But no, as I am releasing some sort of toxins during some exercises. Don't think they mean sweat. Some stretches clean my pancreas. Was not sure it was supposed to be cleaned. Get ton of advice which is downright contradictory. Never exercise on an empty stomach. Exercise at night..or first thing in the morning, before breakfast on an empty stomach. Pilates works. Pilates is useless.
Is that a common finding, the amount of misinformation and opportunism in this industry? It seems a Keep It Simple Stupid approach is highly needed.
Thanks
I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
